What is the best interest of the child in Texas?

During a family matter in Texas Courts, when there are children involved, judges time and time again go by the statute where "the best interest" of the child is what matters. The best interest of the child shall always be the primary consideration of the court in determining the issues of conservatorship and possession of and access to the child. Tex. Fam.
